Fluency by Frequency
I followed traditional classes in Dutch all the way to C1. I still couldn't hold a real conversation until I started chatting with a friend on WhatsApp every day. French was the same story: years of classes didn't do half as much as making friends did.
Once I became a teacher, I thought: why not turn that into a method?
Whether you're learning Italian to connect with family, French to actually function in Brussels, or Dutch to get those Flemish smiles — the problem is the same. You don't lack motivation. You lack daily contact with the language.

The problem with traditional courses
Classes gave me structure. They didn't give me fluency.
I sat through years of Dutch lessons, passed exams, reached C1 on paper. And still froze the moment a real conversation started. The problem wasn't the classes — it's what happens between them. You practice once a week, forget most of it by the next session, and never build the kind of automaticity that makes speaking feel effortless.
Traditional courses work if you have time to practice between lessons, energy to review on weekends, and bandwidth to consolidate what you learned.
If you're working full-time and getting home exhausted, the classical structure asks for something you don't have: consistent surplus energy.
What science says
Fluency is not a performance skill. Fluency is a retrieval skill. And retrieval has one law: frequency beats intensity.
- Distributed practice beats massed practice for long-term retention
- Spaced retrieval builds vocabulary access that lasts
- Repeated exposure across time creates automaticity that occasional bursts never will
What you repeat often, you retain. What you cram, you forget.
The method
Daily or almost daily voice notes.
1–2 minutes of real speaking.
Prepared with reflection.
Followed by feedback digestion.
Not heroic. Not exhausting. Repeated.
This beats two-hour weekend sessions where you scramble and forget. It beats weekly classes where you perform once and practice never. It beats intensive programs that burn you out before automaticity builds.
Automaticity is fluency. And automaticity demands frequency, not intensity.

Common questions
Do I need to be online at specific times?
No. Reply whenever. I check daily and give feedback. That's the point.
Can I start from scratch?
Yes. Or use this to finally activate what you learned (and forgot) from other courses.
How do corrections work?
You choose: essential fixes for confidence, or detailed feedback for precision. Plus custom exercises when you need them.
How quickly will I see progress?
2-3 months with daily (or near-daily) practice. If nothing changes after 3 months, something's wrong.
I’m busy - is this for me?
This is FOR busy people. No long classes after work. No Zoom fatigue. Just progress.
Will you help me with pronunciation too?
Of course. Pronunciation correction is part of every plan.
