Italian Classes in Brussels, Without the Classroom
You've searched for Italian classes near you, which usually means one of two things: you're starting from zero, or you've already done a course, an app, and maybe a private tutor, and you still can't hold a conversation.
If it's the second one, keep reading. That's who I work with.
What I actually do
I'm Chiara, a language coach based in Brussels. I work with adults in Italian, French, Dutch and English, mostly expats who live in a multilingual city and still feel locked out of it.
The coaching happens on WhatsApp, five days a week, in voice and writing. There's no fixed lesson slot to protect in your calendar and nothing to reschedule when work explodes. You practise in the gaps of your day and I answer.
- Tailored exercises, kept in a shared Notion space
- At least one reply per day, with your errors explained rather than just corrected
- Explanations in your own language when you need them (I speak Italian, English, French, Dutch and Persian)
- Speaking from the first week, not from "when you're ready"
Why frequency instead of weekly lessons
A ninety-minute lesson once a week gives your brain one contact point in seven days. Fifteen minutes on five days gives it five.
Your brain files a language as important based on how often it shows up, which is the whole reason my method is called Fluency by Frequency.
That's also why the goal here isn't perfection. The goal is a routine you can run without me, so that progress doesn't stop when the coaching does. Read how that worked with a student learning a language I don't even speak.
Who this is for
- Adults who've plateaued and are bored of starting over
- People who live in Brussels and want to actually use the language here
- Anyone who has quit two apps and doesn't want homework from a stranger
Who it isn't for: people who want a diploma, a grammar syllabus, or an evening group course. Those exist and they're easy to find.
How to start
- Frequency Circle - my community, $23/month, with a one-week free trial. Weekly live rotation, resources, and other learners doing the same thing.
- WhatsApp coaching - added on top of the Circle, 93$/month, with a two-week trial once you're inside. Month by month, so you can pause and come back.
Most people start with the Circle and add WhatsApp when they want daily correction. Both are billed through Skool.
Learning Italian in Brussels, offline
Coaching runs online, but the point is what you do with the city. I also volunteer at conversation tables and collaborate on local language projects. See what happens outside the coaching.
Common questions
Do you offer in-person Italian classes in Brussels? No. The coaching is async, on WhatsApp, five days a week. It's built for people whose schedules make fixed weekly classes fail.
I'm happy to meet in real life but as an additional moment where we have a chat without any special plan, because I also enjoy knowing my students better.
I'm a complete beginner. Can I join? Yes, though the method is at its strongest with people who already have some Italian and are stuck.
How long before I can hold a conversation? That depends on how often you show up, which is the only variable I can actually help you control. Speaking starts in week one regardless of level. Usually 2-3 months are needed to see some change. If nothing happens, there's something wrong.
Can I try before paying? Yes. The Circle has a one-week free trial and WhatsApp coaching has a two-week trial from inside the community.
Do you teach languages other than Italian? French and Dutch. See all the options here.
Ready? Join the Frequency Circle and start this week. If you'd rather ask something first, send me a message.
